HERITAGE BAPTIST is a theologically conservative church, in single-alignment with the Southern Baptist Convention, the Missouri Baptist Convention and the Mount Pleasant Baptist Association. Our missions giving is channeled through the Missouri Baptist Convention and onto all Southern Baptist mission causes.
We started as a new planter's church in October of 2004, and we are seeking to build a church that is focused on sharing the good news of Christ, teaching the Bible, worshiping God, ministering to others, and building close-knit relationships. We have very much become a sending church. Many people have found refuge with us from hurt and sorrow, experienced restoration and have been sent out to minister in may different ways, both vocationally and as laypersons. What do I wear when I attend? This is a great question. Most of us wear casual clothing. The men wear pants, jeans, shirts, whereas the women wear pants, jeans, skirts, dresses, blouses. However, some wear more formal attire and feel equally comfortable.
What kind of worship style can I expect? Our desire is to always worship the Father in both spirit and in truth. We do this by worshipping Him in bible study, song, scripture reading, prayer, sermon, and giving. Our musical worship is a blended style. We use hymns and choruses from ancient to modern times, believing that God inspires song writers of all ages to glorify Him.
Desiring to glorify God, we value...
Evangelism: we value people because people matter to God and they deserve to hear the truth.
Discipleship: we value the truth of the Bible that can transform lives, investing in other believers to multiply God’s Kingdom.
Ministry: we believe every member is a minister.
Prayer: we value asking, seeking, knocking and total dependence on the Lord.
Worship: We believe we should continually honor God with our praise and our lives, fully devoted to Christ and His cause.
Fellowship: we believe that loving relationships should permeate every aspect of our church life.
Innovation: we value creativity and flexibility in order to reach people with an unchanging message.
